Bergstrom Rock and Gem Collection Mastodon bones and teeth are on display, along with several other fossils found in the Chappell area. Nature's beauty can be found in polished stones and gems. A collection of Rembrandt reproductions, rare paintings and unusual oriental art. Orianna Ward Chappell, wife of the railroad executive for whom the town was names in 1884, donated many of the items. Phone: 308.874.2626 Sudman-Neumann Heritage House Home as it was in a more genteel time, this 1911 house has been restored to its original condition, complete with period furniture. Also featured is a display of original amenities from the Washington office of Nebraska's longest-serving Representative, Congresswoman Virginia Smith. During the holiday season individual rooms are decorated and open for viewing.
